Global Learning is a sole-member Limited Liability Company established in 2011 by Charles McKelvey, Substack writer and Professor Emeritus, Presbyterian College, Clinton, South Carolina, USA. Until 2024, it functioned to facilitate the organization of participants in academic conferences and educational programs in Cuba.
In 2024, Vanguard Press was established as a brand of Global Learning, for the purpose of the independent publishing of books that contribute to the formation of consciousness in the United States and other nations of the West. The books are fabricated in paperback and digital versions by Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP) and sold worldwide on Amazon.com. The long-range goal of Vanguard Press is to publish books by authors from all regions of the world who give voice to the perspective of the Global South.
The writings supported by Global Learning take the reader beyond fruitless ideological wars. They synthesize the insights of the socialisms of the Global South with the philosophical legacy of Western civilization.
